Confidentially Speaking

People will create an impression of your character and abilities based upon the way you present yourself. Make a good first impression and work hard to maintain it by being true to yourself, your goals and your values!

Confidence comes from within.

Become self-aware, determine your strengths and weaknesses. Nourish your strengths and control your weaknesses. Recognize that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Confident people recognize their weaknesses and aren’t afraid to ask for help when their weakness becomes a hinderance.

Present yourself with confidence.

Walk, talk and dress with a purpose.  Be aware of your posture, stand tall and walk with your back straight. Look people in the eye when you speak to them. Listen more than you talk. Be expressive without being confrontational.

Take credit for your achievements.

Taking credit for your ideas and accomplishments, allows you to communicate what you've accomplished and the impact it had on your life, or the life of others. Your achievements allow validation of your opinions and ideas.

Accept Discomfort as a sign of change

Pursuing your goals and dreams mean encountering a change of circumstances.  Change may make you apprehensive and cautious but that’s your mind signaling that you are going outside of your comfort zone. Proceed cautiously by calculating the risks and rewards of your decision. Realize that growth and failure are always present when you strive for success. Confidence will allow you to celebrate your successes and learn from the failures.

Change your perspective and your mindset. Choose to be confident.

Believe without reservation or hesitation that you are confident. Talk yourself out of self-doubt, failure and frustration by reminding yourself that you don’t have to be perfect.  Remember that God made you perfect for your purpose!

Self-confidence doesn’t mean you are blind to your flaws; it means you are aware of them and resolve to succeed in spite of them! Be Confident!
